Tomohon – Walikota Tomohon Jimmy F. Eman, SE.Ak yang diwakili oleh Inspektur Kota Tomohon Max M. Mentu, SIP, MSi menghadiri Perayaan Ekaristi dalam rangka Hari Ulang Tahun Ke-30 Kaum Bapak Katolik Keuskupan Manado, bertempat di Gereja Katolik Hati Tersuci Maria Katedral Manado, Minggu (10/03).
Perayaan Ekaristi dipimpin oleh Uskup Keuskupan Manado Mgr. Benedictus Estephanus Rolly Untu, MSc dan Uskup Emeritus Mgr. Joseph Suatan, MSc, tampak hadir Wakil Gubernur Provinsi Sulawesi Utara Drs. Steven O.E. Kandouw, Wakil Ketua DPRD Provinsi Sulawesi Utara Wenny Lumentut, SE, Ketua Umum KBK Keuskupan Manado Drs. Edwin Kindangen, MSi, Ketua IV KBK Keuskupan Manado Drs. Gerardus Mogi serta para pengurus inti Kaum Bapak Katolik dari Unit, Paroki, Kevikepan dan Keuskupan.
Mengawali perayaan Ekaristi Mgr. Benedictus Estephanus Rolly Untu, MSc menyampaikan bahwa menghayati Ekaristi dalam hidup, Kristus sendiri telah mengajar kita berdoa kepada Bapa agar jangan sampai jatuh ke dalam godaan.
Tetapi bukankah kita setiap kali harus memperhitungkan itu? Hanya keyakinan akan tujuan akhir kita yang akan memberi kekuatan untuk mengatasinya. Diperkuat oleh sabda Allah serta iman akan Kristus yang mengungguli penguasa dunia ini, maka kita akan hidup dengan dukungan Roh pembaptisan kita.
Ucapan Syukur disampaikan oleh Wakil Gubernur Provinsi Sulawesi Utara Drs. Steven O.E. Kadouw dalam sambutanya. Kiranya Kaum Bapak Katolik Keuskupan Manado tetap menjadi batu karang untuk masyarakat untuk Gereja dan Keluarga, Wagub juga mengapresiasi Kaum Bapak Katolik Keuskupan Manado yang sudah 30 Tahun berkarya untuk Umat dan Masyarakat Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, kiranya melalui momentum Hari Ulang Tahun ke-30 KBK, umat semakin tumbuh dan berkembang, menjadi sumber perdamaian, sumber inspirasi dan sumber cinta kasih, Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam.
