Sulut – Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara Debie Kalalo memastikan dua pasien dalam pengawasan berasal dari Kota Bitung dan Kotamobagu, negatif virus corona atau Covid-19 setelah diuji sampel oleh Laboratorium Balitbangkes Kemenkes.
“Hasil pemeriksaan laboratorium untuk kedua orang ini adalah negatif,” kata Kalalo di Manado, Senin (9/3/2020).
Kadinkes juga menuturkan, kondisi kesehatan kedua pasien itu telah pulih.
“Kedua orang ini kemudian telah dipulangkan dari ruang isolasi RSUP Prof RD Kandou,” ucapnya.
Sebagai informasi, sebelumnya dua pasien ini diisolasi di RSUP Prof RD Kandou masuk dalam kriteria pasien dalam pengawasan karena gejala yang dideritanya serta adanya riwayat perjalanan ke daerah terjangkit.
Kedua pasien yang dirawat di ruang isolasi RSUP Prof Kandou tidak bermakna bahwa keduanya sudah pasti menderita Covid 19.
Langkah itu dilakukan sebagai standar operasional prosedur (SOP) perawatan penyakit menular. Tindakan isolasi dilakukan sebagai bentuk pelayanan publik untuk mencegah penularan penyakit ke masyarakat.
Pasien asal Bitung lebih dulu diisolasi karena sebelumnya pernah bekerja di Malaysia. Sedangkan satu orang asal Kotamobagu diketahui melaksanakan ibadah umrah. (*/JM)
