Jakarta – Kalender Pariwisata Provinsi Sulawesi Utara Tahun 2019 resmi dibuka oleh Menteri Pariwisata Republik Indonesia Arif Yahya, dalam acara “Launching Calender Of Event 2019 North Sulawesi” bertempat di Balairung Soesila Soedarman Gedung Sapta Pesona, Senin (22/04) Pukul 19.30. WIB.
Dalam sambutan dan arahannya, Menteri Pariwisata memberikan apresiasi dan memuji perkembangan usaha pariwisata yang ada di Sulawesi Utara, yang terus menunjukkan tren positif, dimana adanya kenaikkan turis mancanegara di Sulawesi Utara, beberapa tahun terakhir ini.
Dan dalam kegiatan tersebut ada 14 event pariwisata di Sulawesi Utara diluncurkan di tahun 2019 ini, satu diantaranya Manado Fiesta. Walikota Manado Vicky Lumentut, menyampaikan, untuk Manado Fiesta 2019, berbeda dengan sebelumnya, karena merupakan evaluasi dari kegiatan lalu.
Ada dua konsep yang nanti akan ditampilkan yakni, keberagaman dan kerukunan yang terjalin baik dan di Kota Manado dimana Manado sebagai rumah besar dari kehidupan masyarakat yang rukun dan damai, sehingga Kota Manado mendapat penghargaan kota toleran di Indonesia, kedua kami akan tampilkan pesona Bunaken dengan taman lautnya yang indah, dengan konsep night carnaval. “Kami yakin, melalui evaluasi dari kegiatan sebelumnya, Manado Fiesta tahun 2019 ini akan meriah,” ujar Walikota.
Hadir bersama mendampingi, Ketua Panitia Manado Fiesta, Coreta Kapojos, Kadis Pariwisata Kota Manado, Lenda Pelealu, Kabag Pem-Humas Setda Kota Manado, Sonny Takumansang.(*)
