Manado – Wakil Gubernur Sulawesi Utara Drs Steven Kandouw menghadiri acara peringatan Hari Patriotik Peristiwa Merah Putih 14 Februari, yang berlangsung di Kawasan Megamas, Sabtu (15/02/2020).
Dalam Sambutannya Wagub Kandouw mengatakan Manado adalah Kota Perjuangan. Karena pada 14 February 1946, anak Bangsa dari Sulawesi Utara bersama-sama mengibarkan bendera Merah Putih dan menyatakan diri mendukung Republik Indonesia.
Wagub Kandouw berpesan kepada warga Sulut khususnya kepada anak-anak muda untuk selalu mengingat Peristiwa Heroik 14 Februari.
“Mari melalui momentum ini kita tingkatkan semangat Patriotisme, semangat Bela Negara dan Cinta Tanah Air. Jadi untuk itu NKRI, Pancasila dan Bhineka Tunggal Ika sudah Final.” tegas Wagub Kandouw.
Turut hadir dalam kegiatan ini, Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Sulut Edwin Silangen, Asisten Pemerintahan dan Kesra Edison Humiang dan Kepala SKPD serta jajaran Pemprov Sulut. (JM)
