Keuno-Forum Pembentukan Sinode Gereja Kristen Morowali Raya (GKMR) bergerak cepat, menunjukkan kepedulian sosial dengan menyalurkan bantuan kepada Ruben Kasio. Korban kebakaran rumah di Desa Keuno, Kecamatan Petasia Timur, Kabupaten Morowali Utara (Morut).
Aksi berbagi kasih tersebut, merupakan bentuk kepedulian Forum GKMR terhadap sesama, sekaligus menjadi bagian dari langkah nyata organisasi dalam proses pembentukan dan pengesahan Sinode GKMR. Kepedulian terhadap masyarakat yang mengalami musibah dinilai menjadi salah satu bentuk pelayanan yang perlu terus dikembangkan.
Bantuan diserahkan langsung oleh Ketua Harian Forum GKMR Abbas Matoori, SP MM., bersama Sekretaris Umum (Sekum) Forum GKMR, Pitosmo Lameanda SP MP, didampingi sejumlah Anggota forum dan Srikandi GKMR.
Penyerahan bantuan berlangsung Rabu (09/09/2026) sore, di rumah kediaman Sekretaris Desa (Sekdes) Keuno, Nehemia Tole.
Nehemia Tole yang juga merupakan saudara sepupu korban turut menyaksikan penyerahan bantuan tersebut, bersama keluarga Ruben Kasio dan sejumlah masyarakat yang hadir memberikan dukungan moril atas musibah yang menimpa korban.
Bantuan yang diberikan Forum GKMR berupa sembilan bahan pokok (sembako), makanan, serta uang tunai. Bantuan tersebut diharapkan bisa membantu memenuhi kebutuhan korban dan keluarga dalam menghadapi kondisi pasca kebakaran.
Ketua Harian Forum GKMR, Abbas Matoori, melalui Sekum Forum GKMR, Pitosmo Lameanda, mengatakan, bahwa kegiatan tersebut merupakan wujud kepedulian Forum Pembentukan Sinode GKMR terhadap masyarakat yang tertimpa musibah.
Menurutnya, kegiatan sosial merupakan bagian dari program forum selain bidang kerohanian.
“Tujuan kami adalah meringankan beban saudara kita yang tertimpa musibah, agar lebih kuat dalam menghadapi musibah yang dialami,” ujarnya.
Forum GKMR juga berharap keluarga korban diberikan ketabahan dan kekuatan dalam menghadapi cobaan tersebut. Pihaknya mengajak keluarga untuk tetap tabah serta mengambil hikmah dari setiap peristiwa yang terjadi.
Ruben Kasio diketahui mengalami musibah kebakaran pada Selasa (08/09/2026) dini hari. Insiden tersebut mengakibatkan rumah kediamannya habis dilalap api. Kehadiran Forum GKMR di tengah musibah diharapkan menjadi bentuk dukungan nyata sekaligus memperkuat semangat kebersamaan dan kepedulian sosial di tengah masyarakat. (*)
