Tomohon – Sejak tanggal 11 November 2019, partai Golkar sudah membuka pendaftaran calon. Hal itu berdasarkan surat edaran dari DPD I Partai Golkar Sulut kepada Partai Golkar Kabupaten/Kota untuk membuka pendaftaran seluas-luasnya bagi siapa saja yang ingin mencalonkan diri, maju sebagai Bupati/Wakil Bupati serta Walikota/Wakil Walikota.
Dan dipastikan Syerly Adelyn Sompotan atau di kenal dengan sapaan SAS yang saat ini menjabat Wakil Walikota Tomohon akan mendaftarkan dirinya maju sebagai Bakal Calon Walikota dari Partai Golkar Tomohon.
Saat di wawancarai oleh sejumlah awak media di kediamannya tepatnya di Lokon View Woloan, SAS mengatakan hari ini dirinya bersama Tim akan menuju kantor sekretariat Partai Golkar Tomohon.
“Hari ini saya akan mendaftar sebagai Bakal Calon Walikota dari Partai Golkar Tomohon, dan ini merupakan dorongan dan keinginan dari masyarakat Kota Tomohon, agar saya maju di Pilwako Kota Tomohon tahun 2020,” Ujar SAS.
Dikatakan SAS, sebagai kader dari Partai Golkar, tentunya akan mengikuti prosedur dan aturan yang ada.
“Sebagai Kader Partai Golkar, sudah sewajibnya bagi kami untuk mengikuti aturan main serta mekanisme yang di atur dalam Partai Golkar, “ujar SAS, yang juga menjabat Wakil Ketua DPD I Partai Golkar Sulut. (Oma)
