Tomohon-Perhelatan akbar tahunan Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) akan kembali digelar pada Agustus 2024.
Hal ini disampaikan Wali Kota Tomohon Caroll Senduk saat memberikan sambutan pada penyerahan sarana prasarana screen house 2023 kepada 9 Kelompok Tani (Poktan) yang tergabung dalam Asosiasi Bunga Indonesia (Asbindo) Tomohon di Kakaskasen, Kamis (28/03/2024) lalu.
“Di bulan Agustus 2024, tetap TIFF akan digelar dan diharapkan kepada Asbindo untuk mensuport penuh”
“Dan pelaksanaannya akan melibatkan seluruh unsur masyarakat,” kata Wali Kota Senduk sembari mencontohkan Tournament of Roses, Pasadena Amerika Serikat ada relawan dari masyarakat yang terlibat. Begitu juga TIFF, supaya masyarakat sendiri merasakan dampak dari positif dari TIFF.
Lantas apa tanggapan Ketua Asbindo Kota Tomohon Melkisedek Tangkawarouw sehubungan akan digelarnya TIFF 2024
Asbindo pastinya siap mendukung dan sukseskan gelaran TIFF Agustus 2024 nanti,”
“Faslitas bantuan pemerintah berupa screen house salah satu penunjang untuk Asbindo dalam memproduksi bunga untuk mendukung TIFF,” ujar Tangkawarouw kepada media ini saat bersua, Sabtu (30/03/2024).
Lanjut dijelaskan, ada 2 program Asbindo selaras dengan harapan pak wali kota.
Yakni, “Pertama, pada pelaksanaan TIFF Agustus 2024 nanti, ke 9 poktan ini akan menerapkan bunga-bunga standar dengan kualitas ekspor”.
Kedua, “Asbindo akan melebarkan sayap organisasi sampai ke tingkat kelurahan sehingga Tomohon sebagai Kota Bunga, menyeluruh di 5 kecamatan, tidak hanya di Kecamatan Tomohon Utara khususnya Kakaskasen, tetapi akan melihat potensi kearifan bunga lokal di wilayah masing-masing kecamatan di Kota Tomohon,” sebut Tangkawarouw
Katanya pula diperkirakan 500 ribu tangkai bunga dipersiapkan untuk TIFF 2024.
Jelasnya, “Untuk main event diperkirakan 300 ribu tangkai, dan ditambah kegiatan site event 200 ribu, jadi total 500 ribu tangkai bunga”
“Sementara bunga utama adalah Krisan sekira 70 persen, Aster 10 persen, Pikok 10 persen dan Daun daunan, 10 persen,” kata Tangkawarouw.
“Khusus Krisan ditangani oleh Poktan yang tergabung Asbindo, sementara Aster, Pikok dan Daun-Daunan oleh Poktan lain,” imbuh Ketua Asbindo Tomohon Tangkawarouw yang pernah menjadi wakil rakyat Kota Tomohon. (*/Bert)
