Tomohon – Wakil Walikota Tomohon Wenny Lumentut, S.E. mengukuhkan Kelompok Tani Sombona Weru, Kelompok Tani Spekol Wakas dan Kelompok Tani Makaria Anugerah Kelurahan Paslaten Dua.Bertempat di Kelurahan Paslaten Dua Kecamatan Tomohon Timur, Kamis (20/05/2021).
Pada kesempatan itu, Wawali Lumentut mengatakan kelompok tani memiliki peran penting dan merupakan wadah yang bertujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan perekonomian para petani secara otomatis juga turut serta membantu laju pertumbuhan pembangunan Kota Tomohon.
“Melalui kehadiran kelompok tani, harus bisa memainkan peran dan fungsinya selaku organisasi yang memfasilitasi dan memperjuangkan kepentingan petani dengan tujuan utama adalah tercapainya kesejahteraan petani dan terciptanya keadaulatan pangan. “Ujar Wawali Lumentut.
Wakil Walikota Lumentut berharap semoga kepengurusan ini dapat mengemban amanah bekerja dengan baik, bekerja dengan ikhlas serta bekerja berkualitas sehingga dapat mengelola kelompok tani dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan para petani, sekaligus menjadi mitra bagi pemerintah Kota Tomohon untuk mencapai misi “memajukan sistem pertanian dalam rangka perwujudan kedaulatan pangan” di Kota Tomohon.
“Ya tentunya kelompok tani ini benar-benar menjadi wadah bagi petani untuk memperoleh wawasan luas mengenai pertanian dengan penguasaan teknologi, akses permodalan, pemasaran dan sebagainya.”harap Wawali Lumentut.
Turut hadir Kadis Pertanian dan Perikanan Kota Tomohon Steven Waworuntu, SSTP. bersama para penyuluh pertanian, Camat Tomohon Timur Klaudius Kalesaran, S.H., Lurah Paslaten Dua Royke Pangemanan, SIP., dan Para Pengurus Kelompok Tani. (*)
