Manado – Guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran Covid -19, Wali Kota Manado, DR. Ir GS Vicky Lumentut, SH, M.Si, DEA mengajak jajarannya dilingkup Pemerintah Kota Manado untuk turut serta membantu petugas kesehatan dan warga yang terdampak pandemi ini.
Wali Kota GSVL mengatakan, ajakan ini berlaku bagi semua yang ada di Pemerintah Kota Manado dan juga di luar itu yang mau membantu, meski bukan suatu keharusan.
“Ajakan ini sifatnya sukarela dan bukan keharusan. Kalau ada yang bersedia dapat menyalurkan bantuannya melalui Pak Sekda (Sekretaris Daerah) dan bantuan yang terkumpul serta pemanfaatannya akan dipublikasikan,” ujar Wali Kota GSVL, Kamis (02/04/2020).
Wali Kota GSVL bahkan mendonasikan gajinya di bulan April 2020 untuk digunakan dalam penanganan COVID-19.
“Saya donasikan gaji saya bulan April 2020 dan akan diserahkan setelah saya terima gajinya. Untuk kawan-kawan silahkan menyesuaikan menurut kerelaannya. Semoga bantuan kita akan membantu upaya Manado melawan COVID-19,” ucap Wali Kota GSVL. (*/JM)
