Sulut – Wakil Gubernur Sulawesi Utara Steven O.E. Kandouw melakukan video conference dengan para pelaku pariwisata di Sulut membahas kesiapan menghadapi tatanan normal baru atau new normal di Manado, Jumat (29/5/2020).
Pada kesempatan itu, Wagub Kandouw menyampaikan arahan Gubernur Sulut tentang kesiapan menjalani new normal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
“Ibaratnya covid-19 tidak dapat dihilangkan tapi kita harus kendalikan. New normal tadi dibahas dengan pemerintah pusat mau tidak mau dari sekarang kita harus menciptakan hidup terbiasa dengan itu,” kata Kandouw dalam vidcon yang difasilitasi Kadis Pariwisata Sulut Henry Kaitjily.
“Ini sama seperti penyakit cacar dulu sangat mematikan sampai sekarang tidak hilang sekarang sudah ada vaksinnya akhirnya cacar itu jadi biasa jadi penyakit yang tidak mematikan. Kita harus punya paradigma seperti itu juga dengan covid, covid dalam kehidupan sehari hari sampai vaksinnya ditemukan,” lanjutnya.
Terkait implementasinya di dunia pariwisata Sulut, Kandouw mengingatkan semua pelaku pariwisata tentang pentingnya kesiapan untuk hidup di tengah keterbatasan.
“Untuk itu pemerintah berupaya relaksasi keuangan kedepan format kepariwisatan kita harus dirubah sesuaikan dengan keadaan dijalan. Mau tidak mau secara online semua transaksi kepariwisataan kita harus dijalankan kalau yang baru 10 sampai 15 persen kedepan 90 persen harus online virtual,” tegas Kandouw
Lanjut Kandouw, protokol covid harus dijalankan dengan tetap menggunakan masker dan hand sanitizer.
“Tunjukan kepada calon-calon turis domestik maupun internasional bahwa di Sulut aman karena jalankan protokol covid hotel-hotel harus terapkan protokol. Kita jangan mundur harus persiapkan diri kedepan harus optimis akan terjadi ledakan pariwisata yang akan memberikan efek positif bagi kita semua,” ungkap Kandouw.
“Kesetiakawanan, kekompakan harus dijaga terutama diantara pelaku-pelaku pariwisata dan selalu ciptakan inovasi- inovasi yang baru, networking yang baru berikan servis yang bagus agar semua orang dapat berlibur di Sulut,” kuncinya. (*/JM)
