Pohuwato – Bupati Pohuwato, Saipul A. Mbuinga meninjau langsung sejumlah titik yang menyebabkan banjir di pusat ibu Kota kabupaten, Senin (13/09/2021).
Dalam peninjauan tersebut Bupati Saipul di dampingi Wakil Ketua DPRD Pohuwato, Nirwan Due dan unsur Dinas Pekerjaan Umum.
Dimulai dari dusun 3 desa Botubilotahu, Bupati Saipul melihat langsung sebagian rumah yang masih terendam akibat air kiriman dari hulu desa Botubilotahu atau Huilo Dulahu serta mendengar berbagai keluhan dari warga yang ada di jalan menuju rumah sakit bumi panua.
Penasaran seperti apa keadaan yang ada dibagian atas sampai merendam rumah warga yang ada di sebagian desa botubilotahu, maka Bupati Saipul bersama rombongan meninjau jalan-jalan air penyebab meluapnya air kiriman akibat curah hujan yang tinggi pada Sabtu kemarin.
Sampai di ujung dusun Bongo desa Botubilotahu, Bupati Saipul menuju desa teratai dan melihat sebagian besar rumah masyarakat yang berada dekat rumah sakit masih terendam.
Ditemui, ternyata sebagian besar drainase sudah tertimbun sehingga air tidak bisa mengalir lagi yang menyebabkan masih sebagian rumah terendam. Dengan gerak cepat, drainase yang tertimbun tersebut dibuka kembali dengan menggunakan alat berat sampai ke dusun bihe atau arah menuju desa bulangita.
Kemudian Bupati Saipul Mbuinga menuju arah SMK Marisa untuk melihat pengerukan saluran yang sejak Minggu malam memulai pengerukan yang ditinjau langsung Wakil Bupati Suharsi Igirisa bersama Sekda Iskandar Datau.
Bupati Saipul menjelaskan alternatif yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi banjir adalah membuka drainase yang tertimbun serta mengeruk saluran akibat sedimentasi.
Bupati berharap agar masyarakat tidak menimbun drainase yang ada di depan rumah, karena akan membuat air tidak jalan dan meluap ke rumah warga.
“Hasil tinjauan ini akan dipetakan dan akan menjadi bahan dalam menangani masalah banjir yang ada di pusat ibu kota kabupaten.” Ujar Bupati. (*/Jono)
