Manado – Polresta Manado membantah adanya penanganan kasus yang improsedural. Bahkan ada pemberitaan di media masa yang memuat “Masa PPKM 4 Polisi Manado ‘Culik’ Kakek Buta Huruf Buntut Laporan Abal–Abal Citraland.
“Itu tidak benar, pihak Polresta Manado telah menangani perkara laporan Citraland secara profesional sesuai program Presisi Kapolri. Sejumlah mekanisme telah dilewati seperti gelar perkara, penetapan dan pemanggilan tersangka, serta upaya hukum lainnya berupa penangkapan maupun penahanan terhadap tersangka Ari Tahiru,” ujar Kasat Reskrim Polresta Manado Kompol Taufiq Arifin SHut SIK, Senin (13/9) siang tadi.
Menurutnya, tersangka Ari Tahiru ditahan oleh Satreskrim Polresta Manado karena tidak kooperatif, telah menghilangkan barang bukti serta di khawatirkan akan melarikan diri.
“Sebelum dilakukan penahanan, tersangka telah dilakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan oleh dokter Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Tk. III Manado. Sekalipun di masa pandemi seperti yang ini, Polresta Manado sebagai aparat penegak hukum akan tetap eksis melaksanakan tugas secara profesional. Jika tidak ada penindakan hukum maka kejahatan akan merajalela,” pungkasnya. (Dwi)
