Morut-Jajaran Satuan Reserse Kriminal (Satreskrim) Polres Morowali Utara (Morut) berhasil menangkap seorang pria berinisial AP (24), pelaku pencurian hand phone (HP) yang beraksi di lingkungan RSUD Kolonodale. Tersangka ditangkap setelah aksinya terekam kamera pengawas (CCTV) dan dilaporkan oleh korban yang sedang menunggui anggota keluarganya yang dirawat.
Kapolres Morut, AKBP Junaidy Anthonius Weken SIK, melalui Kasat Reskrim, AKP Andi Yaser Abdullah Sutomo, dalam keterangannya di Mapolres Morut Rabu, (26/08/2026) menjelaskan, bahwa kejadian bermula di RSUD Kolonodale pada tanggal 1 Agustus 2026. Korban atas nama Sarlita Savilda Asraka warga Desa Beteleme, Kecamatan Lembo.
Korban yang sedang menunggui keluarganya di ruang rawat inap, kehilangan tiga unit HP yang sebelumnya di letakkan di samping tempat tidur atau di meja ruang tunggu. Saat korban terbangun dan mendapati ketiga unit hp tersebut telah hilang dari tempat penyimpanan semula.
“Modus operandi tersangka adalah menyamar sebagai pengunjung atau penunggu pasien. Ia berkeliling di area ruang tunggu dan ruang rawat inap rumah sakit pada malam hingga dini hari, memanfaatkan situasi di mana para keluarga pasien sedang lengah atau tertidur pulas karena lelah,” jelasnya.
Berdasarkan laporan korban, petugas Satreskrim melakukan penyelidikan dan berhasil mengidentifikasi serta melacak keberadaan pelaku. Tanggal 25 Agustus 2026 Tim URC Resmob Elang Tokala Satreskrim Polres Morut memperoleh informasi bahwa salah satu hp milik korban dalam keadaan aktif.
Atas informasi itu, Polisi kemudian melakukan penyelidikan serta tracking lokasi nomor tersebut dan didapatkan petunjuk awal bahwa keberadaan hp korban berada di Desa Matube Kecamatan Bungku Utara.
“Tim bergerak menuju lokasi dan berhasil mengamankan 1 (satu) unit hp yang saat itu dikuasai oleh FH. Berdasarkan keterangan FH hp itu di beli dari AP yang merupakan pelaku utama pencurian,” tukasnya. (*)
