Tomohon – Walikota Tomohon Jimmy Feidie Eman SE Ak CA menghadiri dan membuka kegiatan Bimbingan Teknis Peningkatan Kapabilitas Aparat Pengawas Intern Pemerintah (APIP), bertempat di salah satu hotel di Manado, Senin (14/10/2019). Kegiatan ini di laksanakan sejak tanggal 13 -17 Oktober 2019.
Dalam Sambutannya Walikota Tomohon mengatakan bahwa Inspektorat sebagai Aparat Pengawasan Internal Pemerintah berperan sebagai Quality Assurance yaitu menjamin bahwa suatu kegiatan dapat berjalan secara efisien, efektif dan sesuai dengan aturannya dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi.
Kegiatan ini menitik beratkan pada tugas pengawasan untuk melakukan tindakan preventif yaitu mencegah terjadinya kesalahan-kesalahan dalam pelaksanaan program dan kegiatan oleh perangkat daerah serta memperbaiki kesalahan-kesalahan yang telah terjadi untuk dijadikan pelajaran agar kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut tidak terulang di masa yang akan datang.
“Kota Tomohon telah meraih keberhasilan 6 kali opini Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian (WTP) dari BPK. Ini adalah salah satu bentuk keberhasilan dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagai Aparat Pengawas Intern Pemerintah yang profesional,” Ujar Walikota Eman.
