Jakarta – Ketua DPR RI Dr. (H.C) Puan Maharani menyayangkan aksi kekerasan yang terjadi di tengah masyarakat baru-baru ini. Terlebih kekerasan tersebut terjadi antarsesama warga masyarakat terkait masalah penanganan pandemi Covid-19.
“Segala bentuk tindakan kekerasan terhadap sesama warga masyarakat tidak bisa dibenarkan atas alasan apapun juga,” kata Puan, Minggu (25/7/2021).
Ia mengimbau masyarakat menggunakan cara-cara persuasif kepada pasien Covid-19 di lingkungannya, yang dinilai melanggar protokol kesehataan saat isolasi mandiri.
“Covid-19 ini yang kita musuhi adalah penyakitnya, virusnya, bukan orangnya! Pasien Covid-19 dikucilkan saja tidak boleh, apalagi mendapat kekerasan,” tegasnya. Untuk mencegah kekerasan serupa terulang di tengah masyarakat, politisi PDI-Perjuangan itu juga meminta agar aparat pemerintah daerah dan kepolisian setempat untuk terus memantau kondisi wilayahnya, terlebih jika masuk zona PPKM Level 4.
“Aparat di lapangan harus sedini mungkin mencegah terjadinya kekerasan antarsesama warga masyarakat. Covid-19 ini sudah cukup banyak memakan korban, jadi jangan sampai ada warga yang menjadi korban karena kekerasan di tengah pandemi ini,” ujar alumnus Universitas Indonesia ini lagi.
Di sisi lain, pemerintah daerah setempat harus memfasilitasi warga pasien Covid-19 dengan tempat-tempat isolasi, sehingga penularan virus bisa terlokasir. “Pastikan warga pasien Covid-19 di tempat isolasi itu makannya cukup, obat dan vitaminnya cukup, dan dipantau terus perkembangnya. Toh anggaran daerah tersedia untuk penanggulangan Covid-19, pakai itu agar masyarakat merasakan negara hadir di tengah kondisi sulit ini,” ujarnya.
Mantan Menko PMK ini kembali menyerukan gotong royong dan solidaritas sesama anak bangsa dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19, sebagaimana yang sudah terjadi di sejumlah daerah selama ini. “Tindakan kekerasan bukanlah ciri bangsa kita. Kita ini bangsa yang welas asih, penuh kasih sayang. Welas asih kita tidak boleh sekecil virus yang kita kawan, tetapi harus sebesar harapan sesama saudara kita, tetangga kita, yang butuh pertolongan dan kesembuhan,” Tutup Puan. (***)
