Bitung, Redaksisulut – Menanggapi perbincangan mengenai fogging karena adanya kasus DBD di Kota Bitung.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan dr. Frangky Soriton saat dikonfirmasi. Kamis, (31/1/2019) menanggapi perbincangan masalah Fogging DBD yang sedang marak di Kota Bitung.
“Untuk fogging kami hanya melakukan di alternatif terakhir, karena fogging mengandung pestisida yang mempunyai efek bukan hanya terhadap nyamuk tetapi ada juga efek terhadap manusia seperti Zat beracun baygon yang bisa meracuni manusia yang membuat gangguan terhadap pencernaan, kulit, syaraf dan otak. Untuk fogging dan dampaknya hanya 10 hari”. Kata Soriton.
Ia juga menjelaskan bahwa untuk pencegahan saat ini lebih efektif dengan cara 3M.
“Untuk pencegahan lebih efektif saat ini harus menguras penampungan air, 2 sampai 3 kali dalam seminggu, menutup rapat tempat pembuangan air dan menimbun barang bekas yang bisa menampung air (3M). Selain itu bisa menaburkan bubuk abate ditempat penampungan air serta menentukan 1 orang ditiap rumah untuk mengamati serta memantau jentik nyamuk (jumantik)”. Katanya.
Untuk mendapatkan bubuk abate bisa di pos pelayanan Kesehatan Pemerintah terdekat, seperti Puskesmas dan Rumah Sakit Pemerintah. Dan itu tidak ada pengaruh terhadap manusia dan diberikan secara cuma – cuma atau Gratis. (Wesly)
