Tomohon – Bupati Minahasa Selatan (Minsel) DR Christiany Eugenia Paruntu SE,menghadiri pembukaan Internasional Flower Festival 2019 (TIFF),yang di gelar oleh Pemerintah Kota Tomohon, Kamis (08/08/2019).
Kegiatan ini di buka oleh Menteri Pariwisata RI Arief Yahya dan di hadiri oleh Kepala Daerah serta para Duta Besar negara sahabat.
Iven yang sudah berjalan selama 9 Tahun ini sukses menarik ribuan pengunjung yang datang dari seluruh penjuru Sulawesi Utara (Sulut). Bahkan turis mancanegara seperti dari Asia dan Eropa, apalagi dengan menghadirkan Kendaraan Hias dan Parade Tomohon Internasional Flower Festival.
Usai menyaksikan parade peserta dan kendaraan hias, Bupati Tetty Paruntu yang mengenakan baju berwana biru,turun dari panggung utama untuk melanjutkan agendanya.
Namun dikarenakan jarak panggung utama dan kendaraan dinasnya jauhnya kira-kira lima ratus meter mau tak mau Bupati harus berjalan kaki.
Namun di tengah jalan, Bupati Tetty Paruntu yang juga Ketua Golkar Sulut ini harus beberapa kali terhenti lantaran dihadang warga Sulut.
Wanita yang akrab disapa CEP ini diminta warga untuk foto bersama. Ada juga yang mengajaknya untuk berswafoto.
“Ini program yang perlu di apresiasi karena sangat menarik wisatawan datang ke Sulut khususnya ke Kota Tomohon. Semoga dengan adanya iven ini, jumlah wisatawan baik lokal maupun mancanegara akan terus bertambah,” ucap Bupati Tetty Paruntu. (Kiki Liando)
