Manado – Untuk meningkatkan kualitas udara serta menekan emisi dari kendaraan bermotor Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kota Manado akan melakukan uji emisi gas buang Kendaraan bermotor (ranmor) di Manado.
Plt Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Manado Treesje Mokalu SPd, mengatakan uji emisi sangat penting dilakukan untuk mengecek kadar gas buang pada kendaraan atau mesin.
“Ini sangat penting untuk mengetahui kadar gas buang. Karena gas buang yang berada di ambang batas normal berdampak buruk untuk lingkungan maupun kesehatan,” Ujar Mokalu.
Dikatakan,kegiatan ini bertujuan untu meningkatkan kualitas udara perkotaan dengan cara menurunkan beban pencemaran dan emisi transportasi yang bekerja sama dengan Daihatzu Motor Manado.
Diketahui, kendaraan bermotor telah lama menjadi salah satu sumber pencemaran udara, gas-gas beracun dari jutaan knalpot setiap harinya menimbulkan masalah serius di banyak negara tak terkecuali Indonesia, kendaraan berbahan bakar bensin menjadi salah satu sumber pencemar udara terbesar melebihi industri dan rumah tangga.
