Manado – Pemerintah kota (Pemkot) Manado terus menyalurkan social safety net atau bantau sosial tahap II ke masyarakat terdampak Covid-19.
Walikota, DR, Ir. GS Vicky Lumentut, SH, M.Si, DEA, turun langsung menyalurkan bantuan ke masyarakat di lingkungan 6, Kelurahan Paal 4, Kecamatan Tikala, Selasa (28/07).
Hujan dan jadwal yang begitu padat, tidak menyurutkan niat dan semangat Walikota untuk menyerahkan langsung bantuan berupa 10 kg beras, 15 ikan kaleng dan 4 lembar masker, sekaligus mendengar keluh kesah warganya.
“Hari ini saya turun langsung menyalurkan bantuan dari Pemkot Manado untuk warga yang memang layak dibantu di tengah pandemi Covid-19 ini. Mudah-mudahan bantuan ini bisa bantu meringankan beban masyarakat,”ujar Walikota.
Selain menyalurkan bantuan, Walikota juga memeriksa saluran air di wilayah tersebut. Hal ini dilakukan wali kota untuk mencegah terjadinya banjir akibat saluran air yang tersumbat sampah. (*/JM)
