Manado – Wali Kota Manado Andrei Angouw meminta jajaran Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Manado bisa mengatasi permasalahan belum optimalnya pelayanan air bersih di masyarakat. Termasuk upaya mengatasi masih tingginya tingkat kebocoran, rendahnya kualitas hingga Kapasitas Instalasi Pengolahan Air (IPA) termasuk wilayah-wilayah yang belum terlayani air 1×24 Jam.
Hal ini disampaikan Wali Kota Manado dalam rapat kerja teknis program strategis PDAM Manado, yang di hadiri Asisten II Atto Bulo S.H.,M.M, Direktur Utama PDAM Manado, Meiky Taliwuna, SE., MM, Dewan Pengawas, Fransiscus Timah, MT, Kepala Divisi Umum dan Keuangan Alwin Rondonuwu, SE.,MBA, bertempat di ruang kerja Wali Kota, Selasa (24/01/2023).
Dalam rapat itu, Wali Kota meminta PDAM harus punya terobosan untuk bisa meningkatkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat Kota Manado. “Hal ini juga untuk merespon keinginan Presiden Joko Widodo ketika berkunjung ke Manado belum lama ini.” Ucap Wali Kota.
Sementara itu, Direktur Utama, PDAM Manado Meiky Taliwuna, SE., MM,menyampaikan bahwa pihaknya sementara melakukan pembenahan dalam kaitan revitalisasi pengelolaan air bersih di Kota Manado.
“Untuk pelayanan air bersih kepada masyarakat. Satu hal yang di stresing adalah penambahan IPA di Kota Manado menjadi hal yang sangat penting.” Ujar Taliwuna.
