Manado-Wakil Gubernur Sulut, Drs Steven Kandouw, bersama Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) Provinsi Sulut serta PT Pegadaian dan BI Sulawesi Utara, menyerahkan 6000 paket bantuan Ramadan 1445 H untuk Mustahik (sebutan untuk orang yang menerima zakat, Kamis (28/3/204) lalu,di Masjid Raya Ahmad Yani, Manado.
Dalam sambutannya,Wagub Kandouw mengatakan baik zakat, infak dan sedekah adalah bagian dari upaya mendekatkan diri kepada Allah.
Menurut Wagub Kandouw tiga hal ini sangat baik, tidak hanya untuk orang kurang mampu namun juga bagi orang yang membenci kita, dengan harapan bisa kembali berbaikan atau orang tersebut dapat berubah menjadi baik.
“Dari kacamata Pemerintahan ini adalah implementasi dari kesetiakawanan sosial,” ucapnya.
Dia berharap tiga hal yakni berzakat, berinfaq dan bersedekah menjadi gaya hidup kita semua. “Mudah-mudahan semua tersalur dengan baik dan tepat,” tandas Wagub Kandouw.
