Minahasa– Wakil Gubernur Sulawesi Utara, Drs Steven Kandouw hadir dalam ibadah syukur HUT ke-175 Jemaat GMIM Immanuel Leilem, Senin (17/6/2024).
Dalam sambutannya,Wagub Kandouw mengungkapkan memiliki kenangan dengan gereja ini. Salah satunya ketika didoakan saat hendak maju dalam Pilkada Minahasa pada 2007 silam.
Diapun memuji insfrastruktur gedung GMIM Immanuel Leilem yang dinilai salah satu yang terbaik di antara 4000-an gereja di Sulut. Namun yang perlu menjadi refleksi yakni bagaimana nilai gereja ini di mata Tuhan.
“Apakah sudah betul dari ruangan yang megah ini sudah memunculkan cinta kasih, memunculkan damai sejahtera, memunculkan suka cita, memunculkan harapan,” tuturnya.
Menurut Wagub Kandouw, hal ini harus terus dikontemplasi, diintrospeksi dan dievaluasi. Terlebih di momentum perayaan HUT ke-193 Pekabaran Injil dan Pendidikan Kristen GMIM 2024.
“Jadi bukan hanya outlook gereja tapi bagaimana situasi di dalamnya,” imbuhnya.
Lebih jauh,Wagub Kandouw mengingatkan pentingnya kehidupan rohani mampu diaplikasikan lewat cara hidup yang jujur dan taat dan bermanfaat.
Melengkapi sukacita jemaat, Wagub Kandouw menyerahkan hadiah ulang tahun berupa bantuan untuk rumah ibadah sebesar 25 juta rupiah.
Turut hadir Penjabat Bupati Minahasa, Jemmy Komendong, Ketua BPMW, Ketua BPMJ, Pelayan Khusus dan jemaat serta tamu undangan. (*/J.Mo)
