Manado-Akses digital di Wilayah Daerah Kepulauan dinilai masih timpang dan belum merata, pasalnya ada beberapa titik di daerah wilayah kepulauan yang masih banyak “blankspot” tidak memiliki dan mendapatkan jangkauan signal maupun akses internet.
Untuk Sulawesi Utara sendiri memiliki tiga Daerah Wilayah Kepulauan yakni Talaud, Sangihe, dan Sitaro. Ketiga Daerah ini juga masuk Kategori Zona 3 T (Terdepan, Tertinggal, Terluar). Untuk itu Gubernur Sulawesi Utara Mayjen TNI (Purn) Yulius Selvanus S.E., menyerukan langkah nyata Percepatan Pemerataan Akses Digital di Wilayah Kepulauan tersebut.
Dalam Forum “Akselerasi Infrastruktur Digital” yang digelar di Rumah Jabatan Graha Bumi Beringin, Kamis (13/11/2025), Gubernur Yulius Selvanus mengungkapkan keprihatinannya terkait terbatasnya akses internet di daerah wilayah kepulauan.
“Ini adalah tantangan nyata bagi Kita, Saya mengajak seluruh pihak baik Pemerintah Pusat, Pemerintah Daerah, maupun pihak Swasta untuk bersinergi dan bertindak nyata menangani permasalahan ini”, ujar Gubernur Yulius.
Gubernur juga menegaskan bahwa Sulawesi Utara tidak hanya menunggu pembangunan, tetapi turut mendorong pemerataan akses digital sebagai prioritas pembangunan daerah.
Sementara itu, dukungan dari Pemerintah Pusat dalam hal ini Kementerian Komunikasi Digital RI (Komdigi) dan Pihak Swasta yakni PT.Len Industri (tbk), telah menyiapkan langkah revitalisasi infrastruktur digital nasional di Sulut dengan cara memperkuat sistem jaringan backbone dan mengatasi blankspot signal di kawasan wilayah kepulauan.
