Bitung- Dua kelompok warga di Kelurahan Pinasungkulan, kecamatan Ranowulu nyaris bentrok akibat pembangunan jalan baru yang dibuat oleh PT Mears Soputan Mining (MSM) dan PT Tambang Tondano Nusajaya (TTN), Sabtu, (25/4/2026) akhir pekan lalu.
Jalan tersebut menggunakan Kota Bitung yakni kelurahan Pinasungkulan dan Kabupaten Minut, tepatnya Desa Pinenek, Kecamatan Likupang Timur. Informasi yang diterima , Pihak PT MSM membangun jalan baru tersebut karena jalan lama yang melewati komplek Tinerungan, Kelurahan Pinasungkulan sudah rusak parah akibat aktifitas blasting PT MSM hingga membahayakan pengguna jalan.
Namun saat ini sebagian warga Pinasungkulan menolak jalan tersebut dan memblokirnya, dengan alasan mereka akan terisolir jika jalan yang lama ditutup. Bahkan warga meminta pihak perusahaan untuk segera menuntaskan pembebasan lahan milik mereka, dengan harga yang sesuai permintaan warga. “Kami blokir jalan ini karena jika jalan lama ditutup, maka kami terisolasi. Sementara perusahaan belum menuntaskan kewajiban mereka kepada kami,” ujar Jemmy Mailoor, warga Pinasungkulan.
Sementara itu, sejumlah warga dari Desa Pinenek, kecamatan Likupang Timur meminta jalan tersebut untuk segera dibuka, karena ini menyangkut akses dan keselamatan mereka. Sejumlah warga meminta aparat kepolisian untuk bertindak tegas. “Kami minta Polisi tegas. Jalan ini harus dibuka, karena jalan lama sudah sangat tidak layak dilewati. Itu sangat membahayakan,” ujar sejumlah warga Pinenek yang nyaris bentrok dengan sebagian warga Pinasungkulan dan langsung dilerai oleh aparat dari Polres Bitung dan Kodim 1310 Bitung. (hzq)
