Tomohon-PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) Lahendong sukses meraih Juara 1 dalam ajang Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) 2026. Penghargaan tersebut diserahkan langsung oleh Wali Kota Tomohon Caroll J.A. Senduk kepada Manager HSSE PT PGE Lahendong, Lerry Wenur, S.T., pada acara penutupan TIFF 2026 di GOR Babe Palar, Rabu (12/8/2026).
Prestasi tersebut diraih PGE Lahendong melalui float yang tidak hanya mengedepankan tampilan visual, tetapi juga mengangkat identitas Kota Tomohon serta pesan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan.
Manager HSSE PT PGE Lahendong Lerry Wenur mengatakan, sejak awal pihaknya berupaya menghadirkan konsep float yang memiliki ciri khas Tomohon.
“Kami berusaha menampilkan float dengan ciri khas Tomohon, yaitu bunga krisan. Dengan bunga krisan ini kami ingin menampilkan Tomohon,” kata Lerry.
Menurutnya, konsep tersebut sekaligus menjadi gambaran kolaborasi antara PGE, pemerintah dan masyarakat Kota Tomohon dalam menyukseskan TIFF 2026.
“Ini menandakan adanya kolaborasi antara PGE, pemerintah dan masyarakat di Kota Tomohon,” ujarnya.
Tak hanya mengutamakan estetika, PGE juga memberikan perhatian serius terhadap aspek lingkungan. Dalam proses pembuatan float, PGE tidak menggunakan styrofoam yang berpotensi menjadi sampah.
“Kami juga berusaha mengedukasi masyarakat bagaimana menampilkan float yang semuanya berguna. Kami tidak menggunakan styrofoam, sehingga tidak ada sampah dari material tersebut. Semuanya ramah lingkungan,” jelasnya.
Lerry menambahkan, konsep tersebut sejalan dengan karakter PGE sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak di sektor energi hijau.
“Karena perusahaan kami adalah green energy, kami mengangkat itu. Jadi tidak ada satu pun styrofoam yang digunakan,” tegas Lerry.
Ia berharap keberhasilan TIFF 2026 dapat terus memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat, khususnya bagi sektor pariwisata dan perekonomian lokal.
“Harapan kami TIFF ke depan dapat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Kalau kita lihat, hotel-hotel penuh dan banyak masyarakat yang terlibat. Harapan kami TIFF benar-benar memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat,” ungkapnya.
Lerry memastikan PGE akan terus mendukung TIFF serta berbagai kegiatan positif yang memberikan manfaat bagi perkembangan Kota Tomohon. “Kami support untuk semuanya ini,” pungkas Lerry. (Bert)
