Kendari-6 Agustus 2025-Menghadapi potensi bahaya kebakaran di fasilitas vital, Pemerintah kota (Pemkot) Kendari melakukan langkah progresif melalui penandatanganan nota kesepahaman (MoU) bersama PT PLN Nusantara Power Unit Pembangkitan Kendari yang digelar di Ruang Rapat Wali Kota, Rabu (6/8/2025).
Kerja sama ini menjadi pondasi penguatan sistem keselamatan di sektor kelistrikan yang penuh risiko.
Wali Kota Kendari, dr. Hj. Siska Karina Imran, SKM, mengatakan kerja sama ini bukan sekadar formalitas, melainkan komitmen konkret untuk melindungi masyarakat dan infrastruktur energi.
“Pembangkit listrik bukan bangunan biasa. Keselamatan harus menjadi prioritas. dengan pelatihan, simulasi, hingga dukungan peralatan dari kedua belah pihak, kita bisa cegah risiko sebelum jadi bencana,” ungkap Siska.
Sementara General Manager PLN Nusantara Power Kendari, Moh. Furqon Akhsani, turut menyoroti risiko tinggi di balik operasional PLTU dan PLTD, khususnya akibat penggunaan batubara dan biosolar. Menurutnya, respons cepat menjadi kunci, dan kedekatan dengan tim Damkar Kota Kendari akan sangat berpengaruh.
“Kolaborasi ini memperpendek jarak waktu dalam penanganan, bisa jadi bukan hitungan menit, tapi detik,” ujar Furqon.
Dengan sinergi ini, Kota Kendari menegaskan kesiapannya menghadapi tantangan keselamatan di sektor energi. Lebih dari sekadar MoU, ini adalah bentuk kesiagaan kolektif yang menempatkan keselamatan publik di garis depan pembangunan kota. ***
