MANADO – Walikota Manado DR Ir GS Vicky Lumentut SH MSi DEA hingga kini tak pernah berhenti memberikan edukasi kepada maayarakat terkait protokol kesehatan Covid-19.
Bahkan, secara signifikan orang nomor satu di Manado itu langsung mendatangi kelurahan untuk bertemu dan bertatap muka dengan masyarakat.
Kali ini, Jumat (11/09), giliran kelurahan-kelurahan di Kecamatan Wenang, yang menjadi pusat kunjungan kerja Walikota GSVL.
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Walikota menegaskan pentingnya pembentukan Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Covid-19 di tingkat lingkungan dalam upaya percepatan penanganan pandemi virus Corona di Kota Manado.
“Agar masyarakat terbiasa dengan melaksanakan protokol kesehatan Covid-19 dalam kesehariannya, serta mereka terbiasa melakukan upaya pencegahan supaya tidak terpapar virus ini,”ujar Walikota pilihan rakyat Manado ini.
Lanjut dikatakan, Satgas Covid-19 ditingkat lingkungan bertugas membantu pemerintah dalam mengedukasi maayarakat memasuki tatanan kehidupan baru.
“Lewat Satgas di tingkat lingkungan ini, juga mengedukasi masyarakat dalam memasuki tatanan kehidupan baru atau yang lebih familiar dengan ‘New Normal’. Mereka harus terbiasa bermasker, hidup bersih dan sehat, mencuci tangan setelah aktivitas dan menghindari kerumunan,”pungkas Walikota GSVL
Dirinya berharap, kesadaran masyarakat Kota Manado dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan Covid-19 semakin meningkat, jangan sampai terkena sanksi seperti dalam Peraturan Walikota (Perwal) Manado.
“Saat ini sudah ada Peraturan Walikota terkait penegakan disiplin bagi yang tidak mematuhi protokol kesehatan dan sanksinya masih sebatas sanksi sosial apakah berupa olahraga atau membersihkan lingkungan di lokasi yang kedapatan ada yang tidak melaksanakan protokol kesehatan dengan baik dan hal ini sudah melalui pembicaraan dan kesepakatan bersama Forkopimda Kota Manado,”pungkas Walikota GSVL.
