SANGIHE – Kaum disabilitas perlu mendapat perhatian serius dari semua pihak. Mengingat keterbatasan diri mereka untuk menjalani kehidupan. Rinny Tamuntuan pun menunjukkan kepedulian dengan memberikan kursi roda kepada dua orang penyandang disabilitas, Senin (7/10/2024).
Penerima pertama kursi roda tersebut adalah Lefrans Mandiangan. Ia merupakan seorang pria berusia 72 tahun yang telah mengalami kelumpuhan selama empat tahun. Lefrans tinggal di Kelurahan Sawang Bendar, Kecamatan Tahuna,
Kemudian Boykhard Mangentara (52 tahun), warga Kampung Kalekube, Kecamatan Tabukan Utara yang harus menjalani amputasi akibat sakit yang dideritanya. Keduanya, merasa bersyukur atas bantuan yang diterima.
“Terima kasih yang tulus kepada Rinny Tamuntuan. Bantuan ini sangat membantu mereka dalam menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama dalam hal mobilitas. Kepekaan sosial yang ditunjukkan Ibu Rinny Tamuntuan selama ini membuatnya layak memimpin daerah ini,” kata Lefrans dan Boykhard.
Rinny Tamuntuan yang juga Calon Bupati Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe yang berpasangan dengan Mario Seliang mengatakan pemberian kursi roda ini sebagai kepedulian terhadap sesama, apalagi mereka kaum disabilitas yang perlu dibantu. “Semoga bantuan kursi roda ini bisa membantu dan meringankan beban mereka,” ujar calon pemimpin Sangihe yang diusung PDI Perjuangan ini.
