Sulut-Kepala Perwakilan BKKBN Sulawesi Utara, Ir. Diano Tino Tandaju, M.Erg, menghadiri kegiatan Orientasi Peningkatan Kapasitas Pendampingan Ibu Hamil dan Ibu Pasca Persalinan Tentang Stunting, bertempat di Hotel Lagoon Manado, Kamis (13/4/2023).
Dalam sambutannya, Tandaju mengapresiasi perwakilan bidang KB dan kader KB dalam melakukan pendampingan pada ibu hamil dan ibu pasca persalinan.
Tandaju mengakui salah satu penyebab stunting adalah pernikahan dini. Ia mengatakan pentingnya peran tim pendamping ibu hamil hingga pasca persalinan untuk mengurangi resiko stunting.
“Sehingga diharapkan antara OPD KB kabupaten/kota dan BKKBN Provinsi Sulut bisa bersama-sama mengurangi resiko stunting tersebut,” ungkapnya.
Di tempat yang sama, Ketua Dokter Ikatan Anak Indonesia Cabang Provinsi Sulut, dr Stefanus Gunawan menyampaikan beberapa hal yang sangat penting dalam pendampingan ibu hamil hingga pasca persalinan.
“Antara lain weight faltering harus dideteksi dan ditangani secara tepat untuk mencegah mengatasi masalah gizi yang lebih berat termasuk stunting. Kemudian penimbangan BB bayi dan anak secara teratur, dan ASI Eksklusif serta MPASI tepat waktu,” terangnya.
Selanjutnya penyampaian dari Ketua Perkumpulan Obstetri dan Ginekologi Cabang Provinsi Sulut, Prof. Dr. dr John Wantania.
Ia menjelaskan bahwa periode emas 1000 HPK adalah fase sangat penting di masa kehamilan.
“Pada 270 hari pertama kehidupan adalah saat paling penting saat melakukan pendampingan pada ibu hamil. Harus benar-benar memperhatikan asupan gizi pada ibu hamil dan calon bayi,” ujarnya.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri Ketua Pokja BKKBN Sulut, Ignasius Worung, SE, M.Si, dan para peserta kegiatan dari unsur kader KB sebanyak 15 orang, dinas OPD kabupaten/kota 15 orang dan Tim Elsimil 15 orang. Adapun agenda ini akan berlangsung selama dua hari mulai 13-14 April 2023. (J.Mo/*)
