Manado-Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Utara di bawah pimpinan Gubernur Olly Dondokambey dan Wakil Gubernur Steven Kandouw (OD-SK) terus bekerja keras memajukan sektor pariwisata.
Hal itu terlihat berkat lobi yang dilakukan OD-SK ke Presiden Republik Indonesia Ir Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Pemerintah pusat pun menghibahkan 2 unit kapal wisata Bottom Glass untuk menopang konektivitas destinasi wisata super prioritas di Bumi Nyiur Melambai.
Adapun kapal wisata dari Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut Kememhub tersebut, saat ini dalam proses hibah ke Pemprov Sulut dan ditempatkan di Likupang, Minahasa Utara (Minut).
Kapal “transparan” karya putra-putri Indonesia itu, dilengkapi dengan kaca pada bagian bawah kapal, sehingga wisatawan bisa menikmati pemandangan bawah air.
Sekdaprov Sulut, Steve Kepel, berkesempatan meninjau Kapal Wisata Bottom Glass tersebut, belum lama ini. Ia juga ditugaskan OD-SK untuk mengawal proses hibah kapal tersebut.
“Mewakili pak gubernur dan wagub, saya bersama kepala instansi terkait sudah melakukan peninjauan di kapal wisata jenis Bottom Glass tersebut,” kata Kepel, Minggu (19/02/2023).
Lajut dia, kapal tersebut merupakan hadiah dari Presiden Jokowi, yang nantinya akan dipakai untuk meningkatkan sektor pariwisata di Sulawesi Utara.
“Penyerahannya mungkin dalam waktu dekat, karena masih dalam proses hibah ke Pemprov Sulut. Hadirnya dua kapal Bottom Glass ini, pastinya akan mendukung dan menggairahkan pengembangan pariwisata Sulut,” tutupnya. (J.Mo*)
