Minahasa – Mulai 2 November 2022, Pemerintah Pusat melalui Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemkominfo) Republik Indonesia akan menghentikan siaran TV Analog dan akan digantikan dengan TV Digital, atau yang dikenal juga istilah Analog Switch Off (ASO).
Hal itu di katakan Kepala Dinas Komunkasi dan Informatika Pemerintah Kabupaten Minahasa Maya Kainde SH MAP, Kamis (27/10/2022).
Dijelaskan Kainde, warga yang berada di wilayah terdampak penghentian siaran TV Analog. Harus bersiap untuk mulai mengakses tayangan siaran TV digital.
“Untuk menikmati tayangan TV Digital, masyarakat tidak memerlukan jaringan atau kuota internet untuk menangkap siaran. Karena siaran TV Digital ini bersifat FTA (Free To Air), yang artinya siaran yang dipancarkan untuk ditonton bersifat tanpa bayar alias gratis,” kata Kainde.
Bagi masyarakat yang masih menggunakan TV Analog, lanjut Kainde, bisa memasang perangkat DVB – T2 atau yang dikenal dengan Set Top Box (STB).
“Setelah memasang STB, masyarakat bisa menikmati TV Digital tanpa perlu mengganti perangkat televisi atau koneksi internet. Karena siaran TV digital bisa bebas diakses tanpa biaya,”Ujar Kainde. (Ronny)
