TOMOHON – Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kota Tomohon menggelar Sosialisasi dan Media Gatering Persiapan Simulasi Pemungutan dan Penghitungan Suara Pemilihan Walikota – Wakil Walikota Tomohon, serta Gubernur – Wakil Gubernur Sulut, (17/11/2020) di Green Valley Woloan Tomohon.
Dikesempatan itu, Komisioner KPU Tomohon Stenly Kowaas SP menyampaikan terkait program ujicoba atau simulasi pungut hitung pilkada yang akan dilakukan tanggal 18 November 2020.
“Simulasi ini akan menjadi acuan bagi KPU Tomohon untuk mengukur pelaksanaan pada 9 Desember mendatang, dengan lokasi Anugerah Hall Tomohon. Simulasi dirancang sama persis dengan proses pemilihan nanti, yang menggunakan KPPS TPS 6 Paslaten Satu. Sebab, itu lokasi bagi TPS bersangkutan pada pemilihan nanti,” ujar Kowaas.
Dijelaskan, simulasi dimaksud untuk mengukur durasi setiap orang melakukan hak pilih, hingga proses selesai bagi semua pemilih. Termasuk juga simulasi protikol kesehatan (prokes) akibat covid-19, serta didukung fasilitas lainnya.
“Simulasi menjadi momentum motivasi bagi masyarakat untuk memberikan gambaran, hingga tidak cemas lakukan hak pilih. KPU memberikan jaminan pelaksanaan berdasarkan aturan berlaku, terlebih menciptakan pilkada berkwalitas, serta berintegritas,” jalas Kowaas.
Selain itu juga, Kowaas menginformasikan terkait pelaksanaan Debat Terbuka Seri II yang melibatkan Calon Wakil Walikota Tomohon pada tanggal 21 November 2020 mendatang, dilakukan dengan mekanisme yang sama pada debat sebelumnya, serta disiarkan secara langsung melalui youtube maupun facebook KPU Tomohon.
