Tomohon,-Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) kembali menggelar sosialisasi tahapan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) kali ini bagi Komunitas Pekerja Rentan dan Komunitas Budsos yang dilaksanakan di Lumimpasot Cafe Walian, Selasa (15/10/2024).
Sosialisasi ini untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai tahapan Pilkada dan penguatan partisipasi pemilih.
Ketua KPU Kota Tomohon Albertien Vierna Pilih melalui Ketua Divisi Hukum dan Pengawasan, Youne Yohanes Pandapotan Simangunsong mengatakan, pentingnya partisipasi aktif masyarakat.
“Kami mengajak seluruh warga masyarakat Kota Tomohon untuk turut berpartisipasi dan mengawasi setiap tahapan Pilkada yang ada. Khususnya pada saat ini kami berharap kesediaan dari komunitas pekerja rentan, komunitas budaya dan kelompok sosial (Budsos) untuk menyukseskan jalannya Pilkada 2024,” ujar Simangunsong.
Dikatakannya, sosialisasi ini mencakup penjelasan mengenai tahapan-tahapan utama Pilkada, masa kampanye, hingga pelaksanaan pemungutan suara yang dibawakan

Tahapan sosialisasi ini akan terus dilakukan menjelang masa kampanye. KPU memastikan informasi mengenai Pilkada dapat diterima seluruh lapisan masyarakat.
Masyarakat diharapkan aktif mengikuti informasi resmi dari KPU dan tidak terjebak hoaks yang kerap muncul menjelang Pilkada. Pemilihan yang jujur dan adil adalah kunci keberhasilan demokrasi di Kota Tomohon. (*)
