SULUT – Ketua Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (MPR RI) Bambang Soesatyo didampingi Pjs Gubernur Sulawesi Utara Agus Fatoni mengimbau seluruh masyarakat Sulut untuk lebih disiplin menerapkan protokol kesehatan untuk mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 dengan memakai masker, mencuci tangan, dan menjaga jarak.
“Selama vaksin ini belum ditemukan, maka vaksin yang tepat yang harus kita lakukan adalah 3M ini, yang di dalamnya menggunakan masker dan ini wajib dilakukan,” kata Soesatyo di Manado, Selasa (17/11/2020).
Terkait penggunaan masker, Ketua MPR mendukung penuh upaya Pemprov Sulut bersama dengan Forkopimda yang dalam waktu dekat ini akan mencanangkan Gerakan Sulut Bermasker (GSB).
Diketahui, GSB dimaksudkan agar penerapan prokes bisa dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Sulut khususnya dalam memakai masker.
Hal ini sejalan dengan imbauan Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (World Health Organization/WHO) yang juga telah menyarankan penggunaan masker saat berada di luar rumah guna mencegah penularan Covid-19 karena penggunaan masker dapat mencegah penularan covid sampai dengan 85 %.
Selain mematuhi porkes 3M, Ketua MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo juga mengajak kepada seluruh warga Sulut untuk berkontribusi dan mematuhi arahan Presiden Joko Widodo terkait dengan 3K dalam memutus mata rantai penularan Covid-19 yakni, Kaji Informasi, Kelola Emosi dan Kembangkan Sumberdaya. (*/JM)
