Bonbol-Merlan S. Uloli resmi dilantik menjadi Bupati Bone Bolango. Pelantikan dilakukan langsung oleh Penjabat Gubernur Gorontalo, Ismail Pakaya, di Aula Rumah Jabatan Gubernur, Senin (15/1/2024).
Usai prosesi pelantikan, Merlan S. Uloli mengaku pencapaian tersebut adalah suatu kebanggaan bagi dirinya dan seluruh perempuan di Bone Bolango dan Provinsi Gorontalo.
”Alhamdulillah ini suatu kebanggaan bagi saya dan seluruh perempuan di Bone Bolango dan Provinsi Gorontalo atas anugerah Allah SWT untuk kami yang telah diberikan kepercayaan,”ujar Bupati Merlan.
Bupati Merlan menegaskan pelantikan dirinya sebagai Bupati Bone Bolango sekaligus menjawab dan mematahkan asumsi selama ini yang berkembang di tengah masyarakat bahwa perempuan tidak bisa menjadi seorang pemimpin.
“Olehnya itu, saya mengajak seluruh kaum perempuan untuk bersama bergandengan tangan membangun daerah dengan hal yang bisa kita kerjakan yang tentunya memiliki dampak untuk masyarakat,”imbaunya. (*)
