Minsel – Dugaan pembuangan limbah dari perusahaan santan kelapa yang berada di desa Tumpaan Dua kecamatan Tumpaan Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, kini menuai sorotan dari berbagai kalangan.
Pasalnya, limbah dari PT Royal Coconut (ex PT Sakura Ria) yang mengelolah santan kelapa itu diduga tidak melalui proses Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL).
Proses pembuangan limbah yang langsung di buang di pantai ini sudah sangat meresahkan masyarakat pesisir pantai. Dimana aktivitas nelayan yang melaut saat ini lumpuh total. Semua alat tangkap ikan sudah tidak di operasikan lagi karena air di pesisir pantai sudah tercemar dengan limbah santan kelapa yang dibuang secara langsung di bibir pantai Tumpaan.
Ibu Alce Luas salah satu warga pesisir pantai Tumpaan kepada media ini mengatakan bahwa kami sangat terganggu dengan adanya aktivitas perusahaan di sekitar pantai Tumpaan. Karena limbah dari perusahaan santan kelapa ini di buang langsung ke pantai, sehingga pesisir pantai saat ini sudah berminyak dan para nelayan sudah tidak ada lagi aktivitas melaut untuk pencarian pukat (Soma dampar).
” Torang masyarakat di pesisir pantai Tumpaan saat ini sudah tidak bisa melaut lagi untuk mencari ikan lewat pukat ikan. Karena pantai saat ini sudah tercemar dan berminyak.” Ucap ibu Alce. (QQ)
