Manado – Pihak KONI Manado kembali menggeliat di tengah persiapan olahraga Sulut menuju PON XX di Papua.
Caretaker Ketua Umum KONI Manado DR Yan Lengkong, M.Kes, AIFO memastikan adanya gelaran Musyawarah Olahraga Kota (Musorkot) KONI Manado pemilihan pengurus periode baru 2021-2025.
Lengkong menegaskan, Musorkot sudah sesuai ketentuan AD/ART KONI. Dimana, bila Ketua Umum mengundurkan diri dan telah menjabat lebih dari setengah periode kepengurusan, maka hal itu dapat dikatakan telah menyelesaikan satu periode kepengurusan.
“Jadi, yang akan dilaksanakan ini Musorkot bukan Musorkotlub,” katanya saat melaksanakan Jumpa Pers di Moy Residence Tondano, Rabu (21/07/2021).
“Mundurnya Hengky Kawalo sebagai Ketua Umum KONI Manado dan telah memimpin KONI Manado lebih dari setengah periode kepengurusan, maka diperlukan Musorkot memilih pengurus yang baru juga,” jelas Lengkong.
Ketua Bidang Organisasi KONI Sulut ini menandaskan, ia telah menempuh prosedur sesuai AD/ART KONI untuk memutuskan pelaksanaan Musorkot KONI Manado.
“Sebagai caretaker saya telah melakukan dua kali rapat pertemuan secara virtual. Pertama dengan pengurus KONI Manado yang lama, dan kedua dengan seluruh pengurus cabang olahraga,” katanya lagi.
Dari dua kali pertemuan yang dilaksanakan secara virtual ini, menurutnya telah terbentuk panitia pelaksana Musorkot KONI Manado yang dipimpin Ketua Gregorius Tonny Rawung dan Sekretaris Ferry Lantang.
Oleh karena itu, ia menyerahkan sepenuhnya kepada Panitia Pelaksana (Panpel) untuk mempersiapkan Musorkot. Namun tetap menjalin komunikasi dengan Caretaker yang ditunjuk KONI Sulut.
Anggota panpel Hendra Massie menambahkan, panpel merencanakan Musorkot Sabtu 24 Juli 2021 akhir pekan ini.

“Namun, salah satu syaratnya untuk maju sebagai calon Ketua Umum harus mendapat dukungan tertulis dari setidaknya 10 pengurus cabang olahraga anggota KONI Manado,” katanya saat didampingi anggota panpel Robi Lumi.(*/JM)
