Pohuwato – Bendungan adalah bangunan penahan atau penimbun air untuk irigasi, demikian juga dengan bendungan taluduyunu yang terletak di Desa Taluduyunu Utara Kecamatan Buntulia.
Bendungan taluduyunu menjadi satu-satunya bendung yang mengairi persawahan yang ada di Kecamatan Buntulia dan Kecamatan Duhiadaa.
Saat ini keberadaan dari bendung taluduyunu dikeluhkan oleh warga terutama ketika dibuka pintu air maka sebagian air masuk ke halaman hingga rumah warga. Disisi lain saat ini petani sawah sedang menanam padi sehingga membutuhkan air untuk lahan-lahan persawahan yang ada.
Menyikapi keluhan tersebut, Bupati Pohuwato, Saipul A. Mbuinga didampingi Kadis Pertanian, Kamri Alwi bersama unsur Dinas PU dan BPBD meninjau bendung taluduyunu, Senin, (06/03/2023).
Pada peninjauan itu Bupati Saipul mengakui akan mencarikan solusi yang terbaik untuk penanganan saluran irigasi, sehingga petani sawah tetap mendapatkan air dan warga sekitar tidak terendam luapan air dari saluran yang ada khususnya sebagian warga Desa Taluduyunu dan Desa Taluduyunu Utara.
Menurut Saipul, melihat kondisi yang ada tentu secepatnya diminta pada dinas terkait untuk mencari jalan keluar. Artinya, petani sawah tetap mendapatkan air karena saat ini proses penanaman dan warga sekitar saluran tidak lagi menerima luapan air yang menggenangi setiap saat.
“Sekarang proses penanaman olehnya carikan solusi tercepat sehingga tidak ada yang dirugikan”,harap Bupati Saipul Mbuinga. (Has/*)
