Minsel,- Meski semenjak 2019-2021, tingkat kemiskinan di kabupaten Minahasa Selatan berada pada angka 9,2 s/d 9,3. Tapi pemkab Minsel terus melakukan terobosan guna menekan lajunya kemiskinan di Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan.
Bahkan saat ini Bupati Minsel Frangky Donny Wongkar SH dan Wabup Petra Yanni Rembng M.Th terus melakukan berbagai strategi, untuk menurunkan angka prosentase kemiskinan di Minsel.
Hal ini diawali dengan survey pemerintah terhadap kemiskinan di Minsel. Demikian dikatakan Plt. Kadis Kominfo Ir. Max H. Weken.
Menurut Max, kegiatan ini telah dilakukan sejak kepemimpinan FDW-PYR memimpin Minsel. Dan kegiatan survey ini dilakukan secara berkala untuk memotret dan merekam secara langsung kondisi keluarga termasuk penyebab-penyebanya, kemudian langka-langkah antisipasinya bagi warga atau keluarga tak mampu itu yang butuh perhatian serius dari pemerintah daerah di 17 Kecamatan dan 177 Desa/Kelurahan di Minahasa Selatan.
