Asahan –Sepanjang lebih kurang 23 Km, Bupati Asahan bersama dengan OPD dan Ketua TP PKK Kabupaten Asahan beserta pengurus melaksanakan gowes bersama dengan mengambil titik start Rumah Dinas Bupati Asahan, Sabtu (06/07/2022) pagi
Kegiatan gowes yang kita lakukan ini merupakan bentuk ajakan Pemerintah Kabupaten Asahan kepada masyarakat Kabupaten Asahan untuk menerapkan hidup sehat dengan bersepeda.
Hal ini disampaikan Bupati Asahan H. Surya, BSc di Wisata Alam Sureng (WAS) yang menjadi tempat titik peristirahatan rombongan gowes tersebut.
Bupati juga mengatakan dengan bersepeda kita telah mengurangi polusi udara dibumi dari kendaraan bermotor. Selain itu bersepeda juga dapat meningkatkan kesehatan fisik dan mental kita diantaranya meningkatkan kekuatan otot, mengontrol berat badan, menjaga kesehatan jantung, menurunkan resiko depresi dan meningkatkan sistem imun tubuh.
Selanjutnya Bupati memghimbau kepada masyarakat Kabupaten Asahan untuk memasang bendera Merah Putih di depan rumah masing-masing sampai tanggal 31 Agustus 2022, ini merupakan bentuk penghormatan kita kepada para pejuang yang telah berkorban jiwa, harta dan tenaga dalam memperjuangan Kemerdekaan Repulik Indonesia yang kita cintai ini.
“Tidak berat untuk kita mengibarkan Bendera Merah Putih di rumah kita masing-masing, karena itu merupakan cara kita menghormati perjuangan para pejuang Kemerdekaan Bangsa ini”, ucap Bupati sekaligus meningalkan WAS menuju Rumah Dinas Bupati Asahan titik finis dari gowes tersebut.
