Manado-Guna memaksimalkan peran dan fungsi apoteker, maka Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia (IAI) Pengurus Daerah Sulut menggelar Rapat Kerja Daerah (Rakerda) dengan tema Optimalisasi peran Apoteker di Era New Normal dan dilanjutkan dengan seminar pada Sabtu 12 Maret 2022 yang dilaksanakan di Hotel Luwansa Manado, Jumat (11/03/2022).
Kegiatan ini dibuka secara langsung oleh Ketua Dewan Pengawas Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia Provinsi Sulut Apt Dra Aaltje Dondokambey MKes dengan menghadirkan Ketua PD IAI Apt Drs Djony Matali dimana turut dihadiri sekitar 400 apoteker se-Sulut.
Dalam sambutannya, Ketua Dewan Pengawas Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia Provinsi Sulut Apt Dra Aaltje Dondokambey MKes, mengatakan, bahwa apoteker merupakan bagian dari tenaga kesehatan yang memiliki peran strategis sebagai salah satu garda terdepan dalam melawan dan mencegah penyebaran Covid-19. Untuk itu Apoteker profesional dituntut mampu memastikan masyarakat mendapatkan pelayanan yang optimal.
“Apoteker berperan secara klinis yakni memastikan pelayanan kefarmasian di rumah sakit, puskesmas dan lain-lain dapat terlaksana secara optimal dan sesuai dengan protap kesehatan. Apoteker berperan aktif dalam pemberian terapi yang bermutu, rasional dan bijak kepada pasien,” ujar Aaltje.
Dirinya pun meminta agar Apoteker harus memastikan produk yang dihasilkan, seperti obat-obatan, vaksin, disinfektan, handsanitizer dan lainnya, mudah didapat dan aman. Di sini apoteker berperan untuk untuk menjaga ketersediaan barang-barang yang dibutuhkan masyarakat, di institusi-institusi Kesehatan seperti, Puskesmas, apotek, rumah sakit dan sarana kesehatan lainnya.
“Terakhir apoteker juga harus berperan aktif dalam mengedukasi masyarakat, yakni edukasi pembelian obat yang rasional dan bijak. Juga berperan aktif memberikan edukasi terhadap bahaya virus Covid-19 dan bagaimana cara hidup sehat di masa pandemik ini. Dengan demikian, berbagai berita-berita hoaks dapat dicegah penyebarannya di tengah-tengah masyarakat sehingga masyarakat dapat memperoleh informasi yang akurat, dan dapat bertindak dengan tepat,” jelas Aaltje seraya berharap kiranya kegiatan ini bisa bermanfaat bagi para apoteker yang ada di Sulut.
